A Princess and a Warrior is how I see myself and how I want people to see me. Yes, It may sound ironic because of its diverse character, personality and nature but that is who I am and that is what I still want to be.
I am just an ordinary girl who is living a prosaic life with my family. People usually describe me as a kind-hearted and soft person (I just agree with the soft because of my "mahinhin" voice) and who is also this girly type. I love dressing up, wearing accessories, doing varieties of hair do, wearing heels and putting crown on my head. When I was a child I dreamt of becoming a Princess and I even asked my mom why she didn't named me Princess for I was so jealous of those girls who are called Princess. But I know I am the Princess of our family.
A Princess is known to be a genuine and soft girl who is loving and caring. She has a big kind heart and is willing enough to lend her hand to help her people and her loved ones. She is also known to be the kind of person who is to sacrifice herself for the sake of many.
Before, I was just living a normal and happy life but that kind of picture faded. Many trials entered our life. As I walk on my journey of life, many hindrances, distractions and hardships tried to stop me. Those are the battling days when I was seeking for light but darkness was dragging me hard and I felt like I was drowning and slowly I can see the light that I was striving to reach disappearing from my sight and I was in the point of my life where I was able to tell myself that "I surrender". But NO! I can't surrender, I cannot end up like this. So, I fought darkness and all the hindrances. I told myself that I must not surrender and that I am strong enough to stand up once again.
We may see them to have a lot of differences but that is what I am, A Princess and a Warrior.
Not just a Princess who lived in a castle and wears crown but I am God's Princess. Our creator created me to be an instrument of his love and grace. He wants me to have a kind, loving and soft heart like a Princess so that I know how to lend a hand, listen to other people's story and lead them to the right path wherein they'll be able to know Him. And I am a Warrior, not a warrior who knows how to fight with guns and swords but a Warrior of God. A warrior of God who can be strong in times of hardships and trials. A warrior who is strong enough to fight for God and for the people she love. A warrior who have a big faith that always believes in the goodness of the Lord.
Yes, that is me and that is what I want to be. To become God's Princess and Warrior.
